Schwinn Tank

How are tanks installed on the frame? I am building a rat bike and I'm nearly done with it. It is a 1980 Schwinn cantilever frame and I used fenders, chainguard, wheels, handlebars, crank, and other knick knacks from a woman's 1954 spitfire. Would like to know if I can install a tank.

It looks like it would work.. the one side presses into the frame opening.. As long as you have the 26” frame..
