Schwinn Twinn dating help

I picked up this ratty Twinn today. its dark and rainy so perhaps i missed a number but the serial is B51058. It has 571 tires. any help in pinning down a year

its hard to make out the chain guard. i assume the level top tube in front is a clue. i will take a better look at the serial and guard tomorrow

Yep, the horizontal top tube is the clue. Bicycle built for two, 63-64 as PCHiggin mentioned. The serial should have 6 numbers. B is for February and the first number after the B is the year. Or................ the month letter is covered up with a weld for the middle stay, common practice, and what you think is B could possibly be a 3.

i thought the B could have been a 3. if so, then 351058 are the 6 digits. all 1964 models began with a 4 so its safe to assume the bike is a 1963

Just looked at one the other day. Had the expander brake on the rear wheel. Didn't take a full bike shot. almost the same bike as @Siestabikes Here's a pic of the serial number. Is this a '65 ? Sorry , not trying to intrude on this thread.....................just trying to figure out what I was looking at.
