Schwinn Verification

From my research this is a 1946 Schwinn DX, first year of Schwinn's frame redesign after the war, serial B86137 on bottom bracket, unfortunately the cranks were not correct so no date verification there and I couldn't find a number stamped on the inside of the fork end through the ugly spray paint job. Someone tried to tell me it was a 1952, but from my research the serial numbers were moved to the left rear dropout in 1952. Thoughts? Agree? Thanks

I'll have to agree. Look at the bottom tube joint at the downtube on yours and this supposed 52. I believe this one is a 53 model with a late 52 SN since it has the bolt on kickstand. https://thecabe.com/forum/threads/1952-schwinn-spitfire.115114/
