Finally riding a big boys bike
If you are a Whizzer collector then you know how rare this springer fork is.
However, this is the only fork that would fit on a 1950's Schwinn Girl's 24" balooner.
The Whizzer S-10 is virtually a 24" Schwinn Boy's cantilever frame with a Schwinn Girl's bike head tube for strength.
It is taller than a Boy's head tube so the fork arms from cross bolt to AS bolt had to be longer.
This springer fork was not officially available on 1950's Girl's 24" Schwinns although I have one that was factory made.
I spent quite a few hours cleaning off many coats of paint to insure that this springer is in good shape. Bare metal.
The springer has the early style bolted in spring with the threaded nut inside the spring. Slight wear on the bolt slide.
Everything is original including the rubber bumper.
