Just bought this bike ,no badge,locking fork the locking barrel is in the middle of fork not on the side I include a pic of serial number,need help Identifying it,thanks !

Looks like a 36 Schwinn fork with the center lock

And it looks like some OG paint under that gold!! Looks like a fun project! I would say most definitely a schwinn but I'm usually always wrong

SERIAL NUMBER IS FOR A 1938 IF A SCHWINN!
DOES THE LOCK HAVE AN 'AN' NUMBER ON IT?

Of the many pre-war gadgets that fascinate me, locking forks seem to be the most interesting, AND useful! The chain ring is definitely Huffman.
