Was Monark one of the manufacturers that adopted aluminum plates for attaching the model and serial numbers; there looks to be a fastening hole next to the M111 stamp?

The plates started in '46, ended after '54. Maybe this is an early '46, as they wouldn't be stamped AND have a plate. Mounting holes would've been a bit higher up than where the M stamp is.
