Shelby 1953 on ICE

I picked up this rusty Shelby today. The owner had it laid flat down in the snow. After chipping some ice and digging it out of the snow, dash away all.

So, in '53 Shelby shut down, and "Shelby" bikes were then made by AMF/CWC.
The bike appears to have both flavors; CWC frame, Leon Smith springer fork.

Great bike! New tires, tubes and ride it! Can't wait to see it thawed out and serviced. Thanks for saving it. I love shelbys. I own almost 50 shelbys from 1935-1951. Mens and womens.

Take a close look at the hand grips.
Don't remind me, sometime I will take the show on the road and go south. I want to live where people have no idea what a snow shovel is.
