Finally riding a big boys bike
Picked this up over the weekend. Just spent a couple hours cleaning it up.
Serial # on BB is F1350

Looks to me like the light gray/off white is original and at some point someone "touched up" the red and painted the rims. Looks like the chain guard and probably wheel were originally chrome.
I'm guessing someone here will know.
 
That's a nice looking Shelby. That style frame came out in 1941 and was probably available into early 1942 when Shelby switched over to war production. I'd guess it's a later one as the fork crown looks like the style that Shelby used on their wartime lightweight bikes.
