There are other catalog pics describing them as imported dyes and available on not just the M1 Deluxe version. I've seen original green remnants on an old survivor I had (& sold) and a red ladies version was briefly on American Pickers show in the background for 2 seconds. It looked like anodized aluminum but not sure of the actual process used.

We had both... for many years. Had them before anyone was collecting Silver Kings. Both of these Silver Kings were stolen about 22 years ago out of a locked metal shipping container in Southern California. We and the authorities are STILL looking for them. I can assure you.
