Nothing real old but still kind of cool. Really amazing how much lighter these are than a modern akaline. Also seem slightly smaller. I usually use modern Heavy Duty batteries in vintage lights for that reason as they seem to fit better.

Thanks for the idea! I'm having a hard time squeezing two alkaline D batteries into a fender light. I've also thought of trying to convert it to AA so it won't be so heavy.

I'm thinking two of these soldered together and epoxied into a torpedo light could replace D-cell innards. Would have to get the on/off switch to work with it.

Nice subject , Seems I've been keeping these for the right moment , now I get to show them off .

By the way , most of these say "Leak Proof",,, I don't think so !
