I live for the CABE
Picked up this pair of pre-war Hawthornes from fellow CABER and all-around goodguy @KingSized HD over the weekend. They're both scruffy, with mis-matched parts and paint by Sherwin Williams, but the price was more than right and I'm pleased as punch.
First, the Snyder-built Twin Bar:
Yeah, it's gonna need a new fork.
HD says those flat bars are called 'Fresno bars'-- how appropriate.
And the double bar:
This one came as just a frame, fork, and Colson crankset. But I had this maroon drop center wheelset lying around, quite a nice color combo.
The bars and stem are just placeholders, looking to find something a bit more racy.
And definitely going to need a couple headbadges.
