4. A decent condition set of Birmingham Phillips cranks. 46 tooth chainring. Cranks will work on a 26 or 28 inch bike. Chrome has some scratches and small rust areas, but is in pretty good shape. See photos for condition. They should make a nice, smooth-running addition to your old Birmingham Phillips. Also not an easy item to find in the US. Most Phillips parts in the US today are from the later, Raleigh/TI era. $50 shipped in the lower 48 states.
5. Chain case/cover. This was an aftermarket part you could buy if you wanted to add a chain case/cover to your bike. It appears as part no. 295 in the 1939 Phillips catalog, and appears in other, later catalogs as well. It has a hollow back, and mounts with clamps (NOS clamps supplied - these appear to be a little newer). It also has the often-missing sliding tear drop cover. Please see the photo with the scale below the chain case to get an idea of the size. I believe this should go on a 28 inch wheel roadster bike. Paint is mostly original, but it does have some areas of new paint touch up. Color is basic black. $50 shipped in the lower 48 states.
