Speedometer Ive never seen. Opinions?

My buddy brought home what looks like a balloon-era 35 Elgin Oriole or similar model and it has this speedometer on it and I have not been able to stop thinking about it!
I also cant find any info on it either. Looks to be "Racer" as the name but the needle and writing is all art-deco in style. Body of the speedy is shallow and not very tall and complete down to the cable and drive

Picture sucks Im sorry....he said he will get me a better one soon.

Numbers are just like the Stewart Warner Cadet, pretty cool.

Man thats a beautiful example! Any good idea as to the correct era bike that would be normally seen on?

I have one also and was told it was mid 30's. Think they were a bit cheaper than the standard models.
