Stainless fender (mudguard) revival?

Hi guys.
Just wondering on tips and tricks for making these Schwinn stainless fenders sing?

I have some dings, scratches and general wear. (Corvette 1959 )

If you want them to look as good as they can, you can wet sand them (320, 600, then 1000 grit), the polish/buff with a buffing wheel with medium grit compound first then a final finish compound. Here's a very informative post on fender refinishing. Hopefully this link works.

Jay has the way to make then right, but if you just want them cleaned up nicer than they are for rider condition, I used turtles metal polish and steel wool on these fenders with pretty nice results. Keep in mind though, I didn't have a lot of time to spend on mine, but this works also.

I was able to tap out the smaller dents using a tool I bought from Eastwood for straightening stainless trim on cars. I did use a buffing wheel to polish afterwards but didn't worry too much about small dings & scratches since mine is a "survivor".
