@shoe3

Just PM - conversed with gtdohn ... I believe the frame
issue is one of too small a size. gtdohn prefers a 24'' +
seat mast. Thank you for contacting me, gtdohn !!

I am now going to re-offer my first offer to shoe3 ... Phil ...
(message #4 of this thread) ... if this machine has not
been sold by 4 PM EST ... Saturday, August 11, 2018.

Just take the Offer from Patric and keep the bike; Ride it and keep doing what you're doing.
Prayers get Answered.:)

I Totally Agree with tripple3.

You are asking only $325 for that jewel ...
that's what you initially came up with and
you followed thru in the posting.

So right now, you seem a little edgy -- like
no one wants to trade their 325 for the bicycle.
And I get that you built it for yourself .. your
personal canoe of the boulevards. And there
are med bills pounding on the front door.
It is you who be cluttering the recesses of your
noggin.

Doood ... EVERYTHING I have ever bought from
you ... since 1987 ... EVERYTHING ... has been
waaay underpriced.. That's why I always apply
more greenbacks to your grip. And I know you,
Phil ... you enjoy making the un-obtainable ob-
tainable for low money. That's how you roll.

So, let's wait this one out. We will know by 4 of
the clock, today, if that roller is gonna leave the
building - and you collect 325 .... or if it's gonna
stay in the building .. and you still collect 325.

We all know what Jesus would do - regarding patience.

I just got a chance to get back to looking at threads after being out of town for a few days. It really struck me the community of many members here, some that have met and others that haven’t, that care. I’ve had several great interactions with gtdohn, a great guy, as well as others.

I do feel for shoe3 and what he is going through in his “real life”, the one off of the CABE. I’m sure there is more happening as well. I sincerely wish you the best in everything that is going on!! It sounds difficult. Stay positive and take care of yourself and your family, what really matters.

I hope that the bike sale helps in some way. It appears that several people do care here and that the bike went to a good home. I did offer to buy this bike on Thur night by PM, but am happy both that this conversation happened in the forum and that the bike went to a good home. It’s all good in my view.

It really is a community here.

Shoe3, all the best to you, praying for you and your situation!

Stumbled across this thread from August of 2018,
Little did I know Phil @shoe3 would be dead by late
November of same year.

I have never, ever, missed chattin' with someone on
the planet as much as I miss chattin' with Phil.

Last time I ever saw Phil was at Links and Kinks
Fairborn Swap Meet in August. Spoke to many SW
Ohio Brothers of The Wheel between August and late
November of 2018 ... I am truly a wealthy man having
these fellas in my life.

If I have been bitchy, pissy or moany with anyone
on the CABE ... it's cause I have not come to terms,
yet, with the death of my good-friend Phil.

But, I will.

Last foto taken of Phil, below ... taken by his adult
son, Jason; last week of November.

Jason told me he and Phil were ridin' that pony all
over a field and really enjoying a special father and
son experience. Phil would have a fatal stroke later
in the evening ... and die of that unfortunate health event.
