Is it possible to shorten a Nexus 3 speed shifter cable connected to grip shifter? Also, is it possible to run a stick shifter to thus hub as well or am I stuck with the Shimano grip shifter? Thanks
yes, you can do it yourself - you match the cable housing ferrule at the hub bracket holder, and the boss on the hub end of the cable can be mounted anywhere on the cable:
it's been awhile since I worked on my daughter's Nexus-8. Didn't change the cable, but changed the drive sprocket up 2 teeth and the chainring down 2 teeth to change her city gears into touring gears.
Great info.....thought I'd get an answer to two from my Cabe family members before I attacked this "strangulation" potential. I felt the cable seemed long for my liking. Thanks everyone for your input! Now back to the bike dungeon!
