Wore out three sets of tires already!
Picked up my dream scooter at Portland! Late 1947 Cushman Model 54 Road King. It’s all original and has been sitting since 1965. The original engine had a destroyed block, so I’m building one of the spares I bought for it. I rebuilt the transmission yesterday, which was really rough because it had gotten water in it at some point. Now it seems to be perfect, but the true test is when it’s connected to the engine. Now I’m waiting on parts from Dennis Carpenter to finish the engine and get her going! I also scored a sweet 1953 Illinois motorcycle plate to put on it.

Riding a '38 Autocycle Deluxe
Another cool item from Davidson's Bike and Hobby Shop. It's 13" long. Brian gave me this and a couple more early 1900's Davidson shop photos.
Virgil Davidson was the son of one of the two brothers that started the earlier shop (in 1905) called Davidson Cyclery. Virgil started his shop years later in 1934.
Thank you very much Brian. Barry

Had a busy bicycle repair week.
Finally got around to fixing my star and took it for my first ride.

Tied and soldiered some spokes to finish off a 2 speed chainless wheelset.

Got this sweet 1895 wheelmen souvenir from a meet in Asbury park, NJ. With an awesome Zimmy ad.

And finally painted up a rim for a project and played around with patinaing it up.

I picked up a couple quite rare antique traffic signals yesterday that I had in the works for a few months.. the green one is a Chicago Essco from the 20s and the other one is a Signal Service Corporation Signal from the early 30s these are both quite large and pretty heavy.. the Essco came with a replacement visor for the chipped one..
