I posted the most recent purchase a few days ago but it was shown as it came out of the box.
Now here it is in a quick lube and reinstall mode. Lots to do on this yet. But it's a nice rare men's 64 Huffy Silver jet with dual switches.
This purchase was a sight unseen (in person that is) decision. Then once the price was agreed to I had to reach out to you guys and gals for some packing and shipping help.
Couldn't have had a better response from a couple of members like dougfish and GTs58 on my cry for help.
Thanks Doug and Gary.

Tapatalk is not allowing more than 2 pics of the bike to be uploaded...damn it. And I have unlimited picture uploads. Must be my signal.

Here is my message in the seat tube indicating the model, year, serial, where acquired and date I bought it, what was serviced and the needed parts to get it to 100% completion as would have been right out of the box from the retailer.....all this just in case I ever sell it before I service it again.

Oh!!! This was my first time working on a bike in my newly christened workshop....and dirty the workbench in the progress.

Wore out three sets of tires already!
I grabbed these two yesterday. An early wood-rimmed "Rocky Mountain Roadster" and a 1946 Columbia Rambler. They're both up for grabs if anyone is interested.

I'm the Wiz, and nobody beats me!
No new bikes but I did pick up a load of NOS parts for all my Corvette 5 speeds.

Cruisin' on my Bluebird
circa 1955 Girardengo Twin Bar Italian road bike

Bought this about a month ago & finally got it yesterday from CABE member jackomeano via ebay. This was not something I normally would have bought but loved the 1950's Italian styling and the twin bar lugged frame. The main reason for this purchase was to get more exercise in the hilly North Georgia area I live in.

Plans are to clean it up good, add a new Brooks B67 saddle & matching grips, cream Schwalbe Delta Cruiser tires, and replace the seat post, pedals, shifter, & hubs with vintage 1950s Campagnola Record components and ride the heck out of it. All of those items had been replaced sometime in the last 50+ years with later components. Rims will remain newer 700c. I like the newer handlebars & stem so they will remain for comfort unless I can figure out what was original. Trying to get it back semi-accurate for a 1950's Italian bike but with a few newer comfort items. Bike has a 1950s Campy Sport rear derailleur & 1960s Campy Record front hub.

This is one sweet riding bike based on my first outing on it yesterday.
