A few months ago my Mom asked me to send her some pics of my favorite bikes. Thinking she was going to have them framed for Christmas and birthday. First on the list is the Hawthorne I swore to take to my grave. (But sold like a stupid, stupid, stupid idiot!!! The guy beat my "will never sell" price. What could I do?)
And pics of my 1919 Arch Frame Mead Ranger I built to try and fill the hole in my heart after selling the Hawthorne. I love this bike as well and have no plans to sell. Like it was made to fit me and oooooh so smoooth!
So last weekend my Mom and Brother come to stay with me to attend my niece's baby shower last Saturday (which was also my birthday). Not only did she have a couple of the pics nicely framed, but had a local artist carve wall decorations of them out of metal!
My Mom is awesome!! (Pics, not so much. Sorry.)
And since I lost my Silver Fox tail that was on my Hawthorne during the anual G'Night Ride held in Longmont (Sponsored by Oskar Blues Brewing
) a couple summers ago, decided to check out the National Western Stock Show in Denver and stock up at the Colorado Trappers Assn. and Wild West Leather & Fur Trading Co. booths for some bike accessories.
In order left to right: Skunk, Coyote, Silver Fox, Red Fox, Ermine(weasel) and of course Racoon on bottom.
Thought the Ermine would make cool Weasel Streamers.....
(Shown as model. May or may not stay on this bike. Temporarily mounted as model and not to be ridden as shown. Riding with Weasel Streamers not properly mounted may result is serious injury up to and including death. But I doubt it.)
