Been a while since I posted any fresh finds but y'all know I've stayed busy tinkering.

I picked up a great photo of Red's Motorized Elgin Twin and found the right size (No. 25) flat implement style chain for my 1891 Gendron No. 1 project.

I have always leaned towards classic balloon tire bikes but lately have been finding some super clean Schwinn Middleweights. Picked up this barely ridden 1980 Typhoon today. It was purchased new at Ed's bike shop in Milwaukie Oregon. It will go well with my other three Typhoons.

Busy week for me. Got the Studebaker sign (shipped/arrived) I scored in Hershey set up in Man Cave. Also a nicely restored Shell pressed steel Minnitoy truck from Ebay ( note on floor). I made a deal on a CCM Flyte before I headed out to Mn. with a load of bikes to have some Cabe friends transport and market (@onecatahula) for me ( there is a 24" minty restored Donald Duck in the mix as well/contact Pete).

I met a new friend ( worth more than any bike or treasure) Ben @airflo11 in rural Mn ( he's inspecting my packing skills/back of his head in pic). then onto another pal Ross ( non Caber), but collector of all things cool/cars, boats, motorcycles/ bicycles, signs etc. I've known for decades in rural Mn. I bought these 1958 Johnson outboard shrouds from him ( his motor is on a boat pictured). Very space ship like in my mind. My 50hp shroud is missing a couple parts/may track them down.

Both these fellows ( Ben and Ross/no pics posted as they are private) have amazing collections and totally freaked me out. Coming home from Hershey and being "freaked out" is impressive. I paired up my other CCM's for the picture. The Flyte is the bowed swept back forks and curved seat stay for those unfamiliar. I even met Darcie and Nick "Cabers extraodinaire" from Mn. on Monday before I left. They took the tour of my stuff and bought a few items. They were in town on some bike/car business. Fantastic folks. I even got my Texaco fuel truck door signs staged with a couple more/found room!! A real Cabe week!!
