I rescued this old boy from yard duty. The chain was froze but 4 runs thru a wire wheel and a dip in vapo-rust loosened up most of the links. Greasing all the bearings and new tires, he will be a rider. Have a good holiday and week.
When I was in my mid 20’s I built my house by hand from scratch. Took me just under 4 years to do it, paid as I went, definitely a journey and was a great experience. Lots of 100 hour weeks. So every year we pick at some project cause you all know a house is never done. This year we did a commercial bakery/kitchen in the basement for my wife’s side hustle/hobby. The goal was to get it functional by thanksgiving and just made it.
Last week we picked up a nice stainless commercial work table
Some of my wife’s creations
In bicycle news I picked up a beautiful dash board for my Westfield project thanks to Glenn
Also picked up this perfect patina match egg rack for my Rollfast project thanks to Dean
I picked up a few a new project, a ‘39 B model frame. After cleaning it alittle I’m pretty happy to discover the frame was originally orange/black and only the darts had been repainted as darker orange ( which is coming off with alittle work) Black on frame seems OG except maybe fork.
Also got a super straight prewar Schwinn fender set, deluxe bottle cap pedals, green Schwinn grips (for a Green Phantom I have), deluxe leather Messinger sliding rail seat , beautiful 19 hole guard and repop canti tank.
This huge compilation of mostly Harley adverts, write ups, news paper articles, parts catalogs. Loaded including some Indian, Merkel, Cleveland early motorcycle stuff, sprinkled in. Hand written notes and sketches. So cool that someone put this together. Great Scott! Thanks @sm2501
Only one bike related this week-a prewar Schwinn rack top for one of my projects.
My 2025 Calendars came in
Laying in a supply of smokes
...and finally a couple items from the Puckerbutt Pepper Co. to spice things up. Smok'n Ed Curry is the guy that brought us the Carolina Reaper and Pepper X which holds the Guiness world record for hottest pepper.
One owner 1975 Raleigh Sprite. No big deal... but it came with a Cateye Halogen light and the elusive Raleigh wrench. All for $20 and walking distance from my house!
