Finally finished this little sculpture. It's made of Magnetite (iron ore), that I picked up from some of the old mines west of our village, during some of my bike rides. I had actually finished it about a year ago. When I was experimenting with mounts, I stepped away to get a better look & it rolled off the table onto the concrete floor. Smashed into so many pieces I put it into a box & forgot about it till recently. Rebuilt it, added the Mountain Laurel & the magnets for effect. I call it 2020, from a certain angle it almost looks like F- 2020.

A very lightly used vintage 1999 Klein Mantra came my way. It came from the original owner’s grand daughter; the owner bought this in his sixties and is almost 90 years old now. The tires still have their molding flash so this didn’t see much use. These Mantras can be picked up for a song now days; it should be easy to get a few hundred dollars of fun out of this beautifully built bicycle! I remember wanting one when they came out but could not afford the ticket price at the time. Today will be my maiden journey.
Other exciting news are the Columbia WWI Military Model badges Scott and I had reproduced. These will allow for a small group of bikes to get back on the road with their missing “soul-plate!”
