These are in the mail. I can't wait to get them. The EB Specials and the Klinedinst are going in the second volume of "The Many Faces of Schwinn".
I've got a green EB Special and one without paint in there also. If anyone has any other colors of the EB Special badge, I'd love a photo for the book.
Thank you. Barry

actually bought some bike stuff this week! found some well used fenders for my DX, along with the light they had on them. should be here Tuesday :) :) :)
bike is red and fenders are maroon.... I can live with that.... the chain guard was maroon... I paid way more than the chain guard was worth for the perfect rust. it still has the pinstripes and decal.

took a bit of looking to find the right pair.

A very lightly used vintage 1999 Klein Mantra came my way. It came from the original owner’s grand daughter; the owner bought this in his sixties and is almost 90 years old now. The tires still have their molding flash so this didn’t see much use. These Mantras can be picked up for a song now days; it should be easy to get a few hundred dollars of fun out of this beautifully built bicycle! I remember wanting one when they came out but could not afford the ticket price at the time. Today will be my maiden journey.
Other exciting news are the Columbia WWI Military Model badges Scott and I had reproduced. These will allow for a small group of bikes to get back on the road with their missing “soul-plate!”
