Also added another year to the Pebble Beach Plate wall…'70 - '22.......If you are a resident of the Del Monte Forest/17 Mile Drive you are required to purchase a plate for gate entrance....If you are not a resident they will charge you $11.25 to enter and it can be be reimbursed if you spend an amount money in a restaurant or shop. Crazy!

Picked up these cosmetically rough CBR American BB caps this past week. Not sure if it’s true but the seller backed up the history of these with some pictures and a story - purportedly these were finished as such (anodized?) in Colombia and were associated with the Medellin Cartel.

There were a handful of Cook 3-bars sold through Mack Cycle in Miami, supposedly bought by Pablo Escobar. They were then taken south to be used by the cartel. A number of years ago, some of these bikes resurfaced and made their way back to the US. A rough incomplete in green primer that had these red parts (seller’s pics included a matching rough red textured slant line stem and seat post clamp), a rough light blue bike with silver parts and most recently, a very nice yellow complete.

Heresy or not, whatever - I got these cups cheap and interesting story just the same! Comparison to the ones in my 3-bar to confirm they’re real, there’s been a glut of fake vintage CBR stuff hitting the market lately…

I've seen the yellow one.storys of the cartel bikes are true from what I understand

I found a space for my Donald Duck clone. It's getting tight down there!! I know you guys are sick of toy outboards, but I gotta be me. I dig all kinds of cool stuff and it just draws me in. Another bike left LA this week for my man cave, so updates will follow. Note the space toy tie in with the 1961 Evinrude original brochure "designed for the Space age" copy on the left page. I don't think I posted the Schuco toy boat yet. It's neat. Wood grain litho'd dash and front ( bow) hood and ( inner stern drive gears!) trunk cover.

I dig those little outboard motors....I have only come across one locally on Craigslist a few years ago.....I drove 15 minutes to pick it up and paid $100 for it......it went out the door the next day for $275......Love those little motors....I think you have cornered the market with that collection....very nice!

Finally pulled this Excelsior from storage to sort out a few little things. I changed the rear button tread tire so now both are Pennsylvania Rubber Co. Sturdy Studs. I just need an acorn nut for the top of the truss rods and one chain adjustor. I think I may also have a period correct rear fork stay tail light that may get installed.
