I just got back the cycle truck sign I bought from John A. The sign painter Steve, who I have listed under the Services section of the CABE painted it. Ortiz Food Store was the original occupant of my gallery building in Santa Fe. Note the lady's Huffman being offered as a giveaway by Libby's Co. Maybe one day I will find a cycle truck for the sign.

Wow! Some cool finds this week so far!!

I posted in another thread that a radio is one of the tools I use on every bike build which, I guess makes it a favorite tool.

Music, as well as bicycles are 2 of the top 5 things that I need to be happy. My first sentence was "Where's my radio?" (Been using this little radio for a few years in the garage.)

One of my customers gave me a Sansui 5500 from 1973. A quick Google search said these were only sold in Military Exchanges at a time when Sansui made top of the line stuff. This has a solid wood cabinet and is very heavy. 50ish pounds.

It also had the laminated card that came with it.

As you can see, this was set up for recording with 3 reel to reel, 2 turntables, mic and a few controls for recording. You can hook up 4 pairs of speakers and run up to 2 pair at a time.

Hooked it up to a pair of Yamaha speakers I've had taking up room on a shelf in the garage and it sounds great!:):)

WAAaaaay more sound than needed in such a small space but the sound is very good. This thing rocks!! Hope it doesn't affect my relationship with my neighbor.......

Picked up our Gearstar transmission on Friday . When we got there it was still running on the dyno. 2 1/2 hour drive home and it was still warm when I unloaded it .Going in slowly , because of countless modifications to the cross member and wiring and shifter installation mods .

Still showing some soot around the base....

A generous friend gifted a 20” Schwinn Pixie Lightweight to me today. He wanted me to have it because it kinda matches my 53 New World. Not sure of the year, it’s one of those goofy B serial numbers, so either 52 or 57. Never seen a “Pixie” Lightweight before. I sure do have some nice friends!
