My Feb. 1971 Schwinn Apple Krate arrived from Bobby U this week to join it's Brothers in my Man Cave. I'm amazed at the incredible original condition, tires, cables, grips etc.. It's in good company. My all original '68 keeps my other bikes and toys company in the garage. It's got a pretty good life too. Being an early model it just didn't match it's younger front fendered siblings. Everyone needs a big Brother.

These guys sold Schwinn built Mead Rangers. This badge is at least twice as thick as other badges I own from this era.

Added truss rods and truss rod cap to the Pod bike. It gives it much more balance in the front now. Also painted up some fenders for the black and orange Elgin bike not sure if I posted that before

Built another set of Schwinn 3-speed Wheels with S6 rims, Torrington spokes, and a Sturmey Archer alloy AW hub.

Also have apart a beautiful 1953 Raleigh Reg Harris Lenton for refurbishing.

I picked up some stuff in the past 3 days; Went back to pick up a small load from a gentleman I bought BMX bikes from 10+ years ago.. I ended up with a late 49s Columbia,a 70s Huffy Sweet Thunder, a 79 Mongoose nickel plated F/F, a DB Cool Streak with a nice Kashimax MX seat on it! (worth more than the bike) a set of Super Sport Bike wheelie bars a few good smalls including a like new Goodrich Silvertown Safety League topper some NOS BMX grips,etc
From a different local spot; A 1950? Hawthorne De Luxe which looked good,but sadly the left side of the tank was gonezo from battery acid/rust ..Still a cool bike! And back out of town..And an incomplete tandem Colson for parts

Bought some toys. Got a heck of a steal on this nicely done custom 1/64 scale Kinze 6/11 planter. The Deere 4440 tractor was essentially thrown in for free.

Picked up a project LEGO Ferrari F40. It had belonged to someone who smoked inside so the bricks are being sterilized now.
