At garage sales I always head for the garage first. I look for old bicycles first of course, pedal cars etc. but then I look for nails, screws, hooks etc. buying from a hardware store is expensive these days!
I got everything pictured for $8 at an estate sale this week!
My dad bought this 15-window Volkswagen Bus, built during the early 1960s, when he retired in Geneva, Indiana. Too bad he didn't keep the VW. It would be worth a small fortune today.
I am out of town for Easter weekend and the family dragged me to a local thrift store. Outside was this 82 Huffy Pro 2. It's missing original parts and a little beat up but for $25 why not. Kids have been enjoying every bit of it.
I went to pick up one bike and came home with two . Then found the Screamer crazy cheep and had a friend in NY grab it for me . I really don’t know what’s happening but I have some theory’s , I’ve picked up several bikes recently way to cheep compared to what I was willing pay even 5 years ago. Also my annual Easter Shell Dying .
Been slow-goings over here bikewise, but I did happen to pick up a couple of things recently.
Since I was desperate for another Colson project, I couldn't pass up an early tankless straight bar with DEEP fenders. Looks to have had a Hornlite, and I just so happen to have an extra with matching battery tube.
Then this lil trinket popped up. Very cool Deco bicycle clock. It even works!
Got this 24 catalog. Also worked on moving a model home out of the way for a new one. First had to spin it around and then got it down a hill. Still waiting for the place to do some site prep before it goes to it final location.
