Happy Mother's Day, Moms!

Hope on this day for Moms is filled with hugs and love.

Let's see what classics you've found from the past week, (hopefully some ladies bikes, represent).
Whether, it be bike related or not.
Please, include pictures as we do love pictures!

I picked up this 38/39 Ivory Ladies Elgin Special on Tuesday and I’m absolutely in love. My wife, on the other hand, is only beginning to warm to the idea that this is her bike to ride. And when I suggested that it might be her Mother’s Day present... let’s just say I’m lucky to be typing this right now.

LOL! I did the same thing Mothers Day 1995. I gave her a '57 JC Higgins Jet Flow. She never liked it,really couldnt blame her. It was too heavy and kinda rickety. The seat was hard as a rock too.Kinda funny,I kept that bike longer than her

While not bike related, it is Mothers day today. My classic 1927 example is 92 now & well. Below is her dad's homesteaded Montana wheat farm she grew up on during the depression in Plentywood, MT. She rode her bike every day until she was 86 but began to wipe out on it so gave it up. Tough as nails.

This neat old 1916 Schwinn Excelsior arrived from north of the border this week.

Unusually tall, 22” frame.

It’s always nice to see one of these, were the original headbadge is still intact.

It’s always nice when they arrive safe and sound.

The joy of spreading it all out to see what you got.

Interesting choice of primer from the Schwinn factory.

Was it orange, and quickly repainted when the Lusitania got torpedoed?

Not sure what to make of that serial number.

Neat old Morrow hub.

Continuation of last week. Went back and got another pickup truck and trailer of stuff from buying out my brother's collection. Still have more to go back and get another day. Here are some of the highlights from what I picked up yesterday.
Keeping the Huffman tribute bike, I'll end up painting and building it.

My parents surprised me with this beauty! They picked it up at a local auction. It's still at their place so I haven't seen it in person yet but Pop says it's in real good shape. Came with an oil can, knife, and something else I can't remember... supposedly issued with the bike. Can't wait to pick it up!
