Happy Summer everyone.
Don't forget your mask.

Let's see what relics you've found from the past week.
Whether, it be bike related or not.
Please, include pictures as we do love pictures!

Picked up this Hawthorne tank for a project.
Thanks Gabor.

Scored a 1953 Hawthorne mens bike. It's an old skiptooth and got a lot of goodies with it.i really like this HAWTHORNE HEADLIGHT AND HORN COMBO.Horn is build into the light. It was never used and worked as soon as I put in batteries. Not a perfect bike but the goody box was well worth the price. Also got a new skip tooth chain, seats, pedals, extra handlebars, etc.

I actually bought these sometime ago but because MLC/AA didn’t happen I didn’t get them. We are road tripping this weekend. First stop was Chicago to drop off a couple bikes to @Patrick FitzGerald who owns the original Schwinn factory. He has retained the integrity of the original structure and, from the outside, the building looks almost exactly like it did in 1895 when Ignaz first moved in. You can even see some of the original paint at the top of the building. Pat was also gracious enough to give us a quick tour of downtown. I had also brought my 1898 Schwinn Model 22 for a photo op. Next was Paw Paw Illinois to pick up a seat cane I bought from @cr250mark-neat piece-thanks Mark! last stop for bike stuff was in west St Louis for a Rollfast exercise bike that I bought from @REDAIR13. This is currently the only Rollfast I own. Lest you think the hobby is dying and just full of oldtimers I can assure you Adam has more than enough passion and enthusiasm to move the hobby forward. Today we leave my parents house and head back. Stay safe! V/r Shawn

I finally managed to find a Huffy Rail That I could pick up .One pic if before the other is after a overhaul. I have cut down on what I’m buying for the time. Being but had to have this . I also bought a cool chain guard lot on a Market place group. I’m going to rebracket one guard for my Elgin Twin Bar.

A teens GW Grady “New England” Motobike is coming my way; thanks Santi! @lobsterboyx had this bike years ago and sold off the original wheels and tires. I would love to buy these ,if anyone owns them, to put the bicycle back to its‘ original as-found state. Please send me a PM if you own the wheels or know where they ended up.
Also picked up a cool TOC light.

28" girls project. Anyone have any information on this please PM me.
Frame, fork, guard and maybe chain ring only original parts, but I had an extra set of 28: wheels... so needed something to use them on.

Picked up a Modified 1960 Austin Healey Sprite . Modified in the 60's . Fiberglass Front end . Frenched in Tail lights , and LOT's of other changes . I spent a good part of a month trying to get this Car. The car came with MANY Spare parts ( He didn't want to sell the car without the extra parts going with it ) Let's just say I have a spare motor /transmission and too many others to list. I tried to get JUST the car , but the seller played Hardball , so.....................I had to get creative in my last " Proposal" . Cash and THREE bikes was the clincher . Not an original car , but it has enough going for it to make it worth the time and effort to own. I took it on a 30 mile "Test" drive , and it did really well . I have Ideas for this car, and it was a tough one to get . We'll see what the future brings for this little one. It is sure fun driving it ! The 1st picture is of the 3 Bikes He got as part of the deal . Sad to see the bikes go , but I have more ! :) The last picture is a similar car with a " Sebring " front end . the picture was taken in the early 60's in Italy , from an article titled " The art of driving a slow car fast " . Ride Safe everyone .

AH Sprites were originally designed with pop-up headlights, like a Porsche 928. It would be interesting to build with pop-up LED lights. This would have fit, when the originally designed it.
These are one of the most fun cars to drive and so easy to work on.
