Should I restore it as is. As much as I love the drop bar racing racycles, this was obviously a workman's commuter. What's your take. I have everything to make this bike complete either way!!!
 
What I don't know about this era in general, and Racycles in particular, could fill an encyclopedia... About what year do you think this is ? It does not seem to have the "characteristic" crankset that is usually pictured. I am not referring to the size of the chainwheel, but to the outboard location of the bearings. Can you enlighten us?

I agree with Wcben, this is a later Racycle (1919ish??) with an older badge. Or, it is a pre-1900 Narrow Tread
with a later crank installed (somehow)

It can't be both.
