Wore out three sets of tires already!
I am being told that this is definitely a teens bike rather than early 20's. But I added a pair of true 28" steel clinchers from a mangled 22 Crusader. Luckily , 27x1-1/4 tires fit. The original 28" tires for these would have the same ID, but slightly larger OD. The grips were carved by someone long ago and leather wrapped, and they carved facets in the ends. You can still see remnants of green paint on one "jewel", and red on the other. New Departure Model A works great. A nice early rider, ready to hit the streets. OG gray and red paint shows well, and it gets a ton of attention at bike and car shows. Lowered to $350 Local pickup only in Mount Airy, NC 27030

I didn't even think to measure. I will find out tomorrow. I am just over 5'9" and it rides well for me. And that is with the seat where it is set at, so I would guess around 21".

Well, lowered to $350. My guess is that the frame/fork/badge is worth that. Add a decent seat, seatpost, 28" clinchers, prewar handlebars with wood/leather grips. Any takers?
