Bike-A-Yike-All

Look Ma, No Hands!
I think it has a long wheelbase. Please tell me what you know about it. I just got it out of a barn. I am not concerned about its value. I like it and I am going to keep it in my collection. I enjoy all of your comments.

Awesome!!! Looks like an early 35-36 transitional tubular fork and raingutter fenders. I love it! Thanks so much for sharing

If the day ever comes where you decide to let it go, please contact me. My girl has a close relative here at home.

Extremely cool ride. I dig the green paint & that the stripes are in such great shape. You really scored.

Thank you for your comments everyone. It's tires are not original they are 26 x 1-3/4". What size tires should be on it? What should I call it? It is a Colson what? I would like to see your like bicycles if possible.

26 x 2.125 balloon tires are appropriate to the April 1936 bike. Refer to the 1936 Colson catalog (p.3) for the official stuff.
One may call it a BLW (long wheel base); or a Model 04086 or a code "Backer" (but few would understand); or a less than completely equipped motor bike (standard accessories); or a straight bar; or a tall-frame (20"-20.5"); or semi-streamlined; but I would probably just call it a "Colson" or a "blue Colson" (if I had more than 1).

Check-out the who likes Colson bikes thread for like bicycles.
