Pulled this ‘41 dual-drum Canti out of a quonset hut just north of Coeur d’Alene Idaho. Rather close to the Canadian Rockies . . Coincidence ?

So back to the topic of the origin of the badge. I spent some time along the NW corridor of Montana all the way up to Eureka. The border crossing at Eureka Roosville may be of interest.

I wonder if some of the more established communities of the time, further south to Whitefish and Kalispell, could have had a bike shop selling the NWP badged bikes.

Possibly! Their sales may not have been restricted to one location, but they are pretty rare, so it’s hard to say for sure. I do think any of those could be potential locations.

Here is a 1946 ladies DX with the footed version that was used prewar. This one was sold in Nebraska after Barry put two and two together using the bike shop's decal on the seat post.

Quote: Maurice J. Frank "THE CYCLE MAN" out of Omaha, Nebraska sold Northwest Patrol along World Deluxe.

Here's another DX that was located in St. Paul. MN. The NorthWest part of the US. No vender decal for sales reference.
