The Failure Point of a spoked wheel is that spokes fail at the spoke bend after the spoke metal becomes fatigued. The beauty of a straight pull spoke wheel design is that the spokes are "not bent" and have eliminated this common Failure Point. I do not believe the spoke "S Hook" design of this hub would work any better than any normal "bent spoke" wheel. It looks cool. It would give the marketing department some fodder to promote, but it's a design that did not last the test of time. You have to admit, it was a truly great time period for new ideas and designs.
