Wore out three sets of tires already!
Took the 1925 Columbia Special Racer out for its first test ride on the Velocity Blunt 35s and Schwalbe 700x32c Marathon tires. They have the modern reflector strips on the sides of the tire. I'll ride the bike for awhile to see how the 700x32c tires work on the Blunt 35s. It's a tight fit with only 1/4 inch clearance on either side of the rear tire.
The bike is very compact as it took a very short chain. I'll need to raise the seat and adjust the saddle back some to fit the bike to me.
Definitely a different feeling ride from my other teens and twenties Columbia bicycles.
I still need to leather wrap the handle bars and eventually I'll switch out tires for a more period looking tire.
