'Lil Knee Scuffer
This Victor from all the research I’ve done is likely early 1890’s. When I bought it, someone had painted it red (rather poorly). I restored it back to its original black paint and then sealed it with boiled linseed oil.

The frame, fork, headset, stem/bar, and seat post are all original. Rims and hubs may be original but other parts were at some point replaced. It needs grips and the brake lever for the spoon brake. I replaced the valve cores and the tires now hold air.

The original rear hub was in poor shape (I will include it in the sale) as were the spokes. The rear rim had some heavy rust build up that I carefully sanded off. I replaced the rear hub with a New Departure D and rebuilt with NOS spokes/nipples.

The seat is not original/not period correct.

Crankset is from an early 1900’s Eagle and was at some point welded on the drive side. Pedals are also likely from the early 1900’s but not original.

Not 100% period correct but in “rideable” condition. I wouldn’t suggest this as a rider, but for someone looking to restore back to period correct and have an extremely rare piece of history. That was my plan, but I’m trying to save for a house and no longer have the time for this baby. Looking for a great home with someone that understands the value and history of this one.

PM me for more photos or questions.

Available for pick up only just north of Boston, MA

REDUCED from $950 to $800. Give this baby a good home!

Nice job, conserving the original paint!
That must have been very time consuming.
The spoon brake is so cool!
You could grate some cheese with it.

Thanks! It was one of those summer Covid projects. Definitely took a lot of time. Still some small spots of red but I didn't want to damage whats left of the original black paint. Spoon brake and the headset could use a bit of paint removal. And yeah... its definitely a cheese grater from years of use! Still looking for lever parts to make it whole and/or sell it. Its an amazing old bike but still not much interest.
