Mercian

I live for the CABE
Hi All,

I've just put a 'Wanted' up for some Standard N°4 rattrap pedals, as specified for the 1917-18 Columbia Military Model.

What puzzles me a little is that the pedals that were on it when it arrived were not N°4's, but something else.

These fit the original crank, so are Inch not Metric size, so I think the chances of them being replaced post service are low. Also, one seems to be heavily modified from the original, so although they are very similar, and may have started out as the same model, now they are not really a pair.

Questions.

Does anyone know what they are?
Could they have been a substitute standard, or spares for the Military Model?

Thanks for your thoughts.

Hi Serge,

Thanks for replying on both threads. I've had a look, and you are quite right.

I now have a set of the correct specification Standard N°4 Rattraps on the way from Scott McCluskey, and thanks to your identification, I know that I am not replacing other period correct US pedals.

Have a Great Weekend.

Best Regards,

Adrian
