I picked up this snyder built Hawthorne today. Has a CWC fork. I'm guessing 1936-37 ?

Maybe a 1937-F, as the 1936-E models are said to have the odd collet type seat post clamping mechanism. Even though there are drop stand ears on the rear drop outs, Wards may have been a leader in adopting side kick stands.

There were some pre war MW Hawthorne bicycles, built by Snyder and sold with CWC shock absorbers, but in this case the forks (cotter pinned) are from about 10-12 years later than the frame.
And we see that the colors do not match.
