You are not being insulted for your dedication to a hobby, but insulted for your self fluffery that is absolutely not needed. It's your arrogance that is the entire problem with people not wanting to show you the respect deserved. Please take notice of this, even a little acknowledgement of an err in your ways could go a long way as to reclaiming some of that respect.

Getting recognition for what you have actually done is not arrogance, unless you've never done anything significant. So? Show YOUR work and resume... THEN give advice.

You are in no position to pass judgement on anyone. What have YOU done for the hobby? What is YOUR knowledge level? Where us YOUR resume of accomplishments? Where and what is YOUR collection?

Nobody cares what you think except people who think like you. Problem is, people who think like you don't think. They just have opinions and a lotta shoulda-woulda-couldas. The very people who are busy talking when they ought to be learning.
