Riding One Of My Monark Super Deluxe's
Scott, Yes, Monark did make a tankless version, have had a couple, but not in 1950 (according to your ID plate)!! Yes, they were rare!! As I stated above, I do believe the fenders, front end and rack are legit!!! The question is the Frame, the Frame!!! The Firestone versions DID have a tank, while those are somewhat rare as well now, there were more made compared to the Monark version. With all the Proof of being messed with over the years, I do believe the bike is a put-together!!! This frame appears to have tank marks! Which tends to mean Firestone, or more proof of a put-together.

This Information Courtesy of: A.G.O.F.😉🤣

Ahhh... another ridiculous amateur "expert" argument. But not in 1950, huh? "Put-together" huh? SERIOUSLY? REALLY??? OMG!!!! OMG! Evvvvvvvrybody is an expert on Monarks, Silver Kings and everything else. This is the most absurd argument possible. You obviously have no idea with whom you are arguing. I have zero reason to guess or make up stories just to sound knowledgable. I'm not pretending here.

I already showed my boy's Model M500. You don't believe that????? I already pointed out that another "expert" brazed a pedal onto my cranks before I bought it. Everybody's an expert.

So what would be the model number of the Firestone in question? And why does this bicycle have a Silver King-ONLY Model Number?????

The huge problem here is that Monark-Silver King did in fact make this bicycle... MODEL L501 IN 1950. And it never had a tank no matter who says so... and no matter how many marks are or are not on the frame. L501 is in the Monark dealer book (you don't have one?). We have the ordering information and original hang tags and original factory order tags. I'll show you (and note the MODEL NUMBERS)...

We also have the Firestone factory records. Anyone knowledgeable about Firestone bicycles (no matter who made them) would know that Firestone bicycles made by Monark-Silver King, Inc. had different Model Numbers... and their own number plate. This is very basic information one ought to know prior to going online and picking arguments without facts.

We are happy to assist anyone with Monark and Silver King facts, but not to participate in ridiculous endless arguments based on silliness.

Arguers always want something for nothing... and rarely have anything to offer and no point– except to get something for nothing. Or simply to argue anything and everything into the ground. Arguers would rather hurl insults to get what they want and then be proud of themselves for having got something of substance for free. Imagining they have triumphed.

Of course, the civilized approach is to simply ask for what one wants and reward the source for value. This is how things work in non-communist countries and economies. If you think everything should be free– tell that to your internet provider.

Wow! Even when you are told your correct, and offered a Thank You, your still a rash over stated, over barring person (being nice)!! To be frank, I thought you might be right on this one, but wanted you to cough up REAL INFO and show us!! You say your the "All Knowing" because of all this "Stashed Info, but unfortunately getting you to share with the membership takes an act of God! I imagine it gets pretty lonely up on that mountain!
I know you have some publisher connections, if money is that important to you, publish a book, see how that goes!!

Since they've already got you fired up and ready to hand out free information....
What head badge would this bike have had originally?
....as compared to one that say, had a tank and a shroud?

And I imagine it gets pretty lonely under that bridge in the dark, deep woods.

I don't need the likes of you to announce that in fact I was correct. You are so pompous that I can only be correct if YOU say so? OMG! And instead of apologizing as you should, you continue with insults. Mr. Old Gas...consider yourself a permanent member of my Feces File.

If asking for information and acknowledging your position in a civilized way is an act of God? So be it. But as a graduate of both private Catholic grade school and high school... this is one act of God the nuns and priests never told us about.

You're done. I'll try not to push too hard on the FLUSH handle. Buh-bye!

I have already told you. As the dealer info shows and as the factory order tickets show...It is a SILVER KING.... and no "shroud" (assume you mean what MSK called an "Air Wing")...
