Torrington “A” Pedals?

As long as I’ve been around old bikes I’ve never seen Torrington pedals with a letter. I thought these pedals were always “8” until I replaced the blocks with the bigger blocks and noticed the “A”. Anyone out there seen these before?

I guess when Torrington released those pedals, they were bring in their A game.

I think it came up once before in this forum. Possibly a later postwar 10? The only thing you can depend on about Torrington model numbers is that they don't make any sense.

Every bit as good as T 10's....only from what I've seen, all are Cadmium plated.
