i pulled one of them a part tonight and i noticed that someone painted them silver probably 50 yrs ago.

These came off my silverking. You can see on the last photo the silver coming out on the right hand side of the plate. Right one needs a bit of a tweaking.
Im not saying these are something they're not, but if you are handy they can be better than they are. ... like a fortune cookie quote
