So it will polish up sweet, but don’t take it off any sweet jumps? I’m considering it for a Silver King build, so gentle is the name of the game anyway. Thanks!

they polish up-but are soft and disfigure when polished. rarely take a good plating either. they are weak and break easily-I have broken at least seven riding bikes with them on it. over-tighten them-they break-very poor design/material. look cool and correct for many mid 30's bikes-but that's where it ends..looking cool.

4 bikes here with them and no issues. You need to run the correct bars made for these stems, do not over tighten and don't put your weight on them.

sound advice. actually owned dozens over the years but I have had mishaps with these not normally seen with a steel stem. these are 'known' for breakage.
