Finally riding a big boys bike
’40 Wings Reliance (Aka Colson Snap Tank), marketed by Goodyear Tire & Rubber. It is stamped “GY” on the BB shell. It is an actual Goodyear model wearing the (assuming) correct badge.

It came to me with the frameset blasted clean, the rest is a variety of patina work and red farm paint. I began a patina paint scheme, and have since moved onto other projects and have lost interest. It was forced into rider duty for a while, now it collects dust.

Most of what you see is original to bike, except wheelset and handlebar assembly. I do not have a saddle, fender light or grips for this bike.

Torrington bars & deco stem.

22 & 26 tooth Colson chainrings, for gearing options.

Wheels, hubs, rims are your choice. I have:
(1) appropriate/correct 30s/40s loose Morrow hubs and double drop rims,
(2) complete ND drop center wheelsets in rat chrome (riders) or
(3)appropriate/ correct rat white morrow drop center wheelset(need relace).
(4) NIB, loose S/A SRC3 (32h)3 speed rear and front S/A High flange track hubs (32h), with matched pair NIB Velocity vxc 26" rims (32h), black. My intention was to build an extra light wheelset for this bike.

Yours:
I would like a TOC safety project. I will consider:
Spoon-braked ladies safety (up to 21” seat tube), or
Men’s safety in a reasonable size (22” or less).

If your value far exceeds mine, then I can make up difference in cash, pre war bikes / parts.

I really would prefer a complete bike, but will also consider a partial with important stuff (like cranks, headset, etc).

I like original paint as much as the next guy, but I also love rusty rat. As long as it can still be disassembled and sorted mechanically.

I am located in NW CT. I travel about the Northeast US region on occasion and can come to you for the right opportunity.

Good question. I should probably keep it under about $1200 outright.

I do have 28" period wheelsets, so that isn't a requirement.
