How many of you had a TRAVIS bike motor
back in 1948 thru 1952?
I did!
It was a lot less expensive than a whizzer
and could be put right on the front fork
and away you went.
It is 1.5 hp and street legal, because it is
only motor assistance to a bicycle.
A 2 cycle engine (oil & gas mix) and 150 mpg.
I was able to find one a year ago and had a ball
with it. If any one has an interest let me know?
$650. or best offer, bicycle not included.

please explain details

Wes, how does it work? Pedal to start? If it runs off the front wheel, does it spin free when not running (does it have a clutch) so you can ride or move the bike. With that much weight on the front will a bike stand alone on it's kickstand with the motor attached? Looks like you have to cut the front fender to mount, correct?

Wes, how does it work?
THE MOTOR DRIVE WHEEL DROPS ON TO THE TIRE AND YOU PEDAL TO START,
OR YOU CAN PEDAL THE BIKE AND START MOVING AND THEN FINGER LIFT THE MOTOR DROPPING IT DOWN TO THE TIRE TO START.
Pedal to start? YES!

If it runs off the front wheel, does it spin free when not running
(does it have a clutch) NO! so you can ride or move the bike.

IT HAS A THROTTLE HAND GRIP!
