I purchased this saddle to be the last piece for my upcoming project and recently found out that the project isn't going to happen after all. I am listing this as a Troxel Star saddle in spite of the fact that I can't read the stamping on the skirt of the saddle. Troxel is one of a couple of manufacturers that made a similar saddle. It could actually be a Sager Star, but either way, it is a very desirable and hard to find saddle. All of the chassis is solid. The leather is very hard but has no cracks. It has a section in the rear where someone glued it together to keep it in place because there wasn't enough of the bottom leather to stitch to. The wooden base seems solid.
