Interesting! I still haven’t had a chance to take a closer look at the holes. I need to inspect better and maybe make a template of the layout.

Finally getting this one done. Curious if there is a way to date this frame? Assuming it’s a Miami built bike.

That ad would make a neat garage poster. Slight variation in the chainring though, not a match. I saw one the other day that was used on a German import in the 50's and it had a very similar pentagon design.

The chain ring front sprocket in post #12 looks like those on Premier Chicago bikes.

I believe that the drive pin configuration on earlier Mead bikes and some Miami bikes were fairly compatible (if not the same).

Perhaps that explains the offset installation shown in the original post, (because the Snyder-or-similar sprocket hole didn’t fit the Miami crank?).

Two drive pin holes? Or is the pin on the crank not in a hole?

Sprocket looks modified using one of the 4 remaining triangle openings to fit a one piece Miami crank arm drive pin.
