Your bike is not a Huffman but looks like about a '36 CWC built bike to me. BTW it looks like someone ruined a nice National bottle cap badge by screwing it to this bike. V/r Shawn

What is this frame? The CWC forks are obviously not original to the frame.

Is not CWC
Looks early Huffman/Dayton to me,
they had their own version of sweetheart
There is a thread somewhere discussing Huffman serial numbers
I have a 36Dayton that has hole for bottle cap and screw holes , possibly a changeover

Frame, fork, trussplate, chainring, seatpost clamp area and seatpost sure do to me.

check the link above,
while not typical the fork ends are huffman
cwc had an unmistakable, distinctive font and layout for their serial #s
forks shouldn’t be used to identify frames as they are easily changed but this one does look huffmanish to me
note the seat tube clamp area: def huffman

I agree you should never identify a bike by the fork...or chainring. Oh well I guess I blew this one! V/r Shawn

Frame looks late 38 early 39

Thanks for the input guys. Would this bike originally have had stainless steel fenders? Triple step rims? What would the original seat have been?
