trying to identify a bike i have year,make,model numbers on the bottom 808485
There should be more stampings that would indicate a build year and also who the bike was built for. Murray built bikes for many retail stores over the years like Sears. If it was built for Sears it would have the number 502 and a model number stamped somewhere.
Gold paint (original?) might have been a popular color for a couple of years; not sure which.
The head tube appears to facilitate head badge mounting screws, suggests absence of tank-mounted headlights, which I believe were not introduced until ~1962 or so?
