Twinn serial question

According to the Schwinn catalogs violet was only offered in 65 and 66. That M stamp must’ve been an error. It sure looks like a factory stamping.

Every so often a bike shows up and does not conform to the catalog, I find it hard to believe the serial # was a mistake but mysteries abound when it comes to Schwinn bikes

Whats wrong with the SN? M is the month Dec, and A is the year 65. So you have a 66 bike.

Rusty is correct. Using that serial look up will screw you up more times than not. Use the original list on Angelfire or the copy posted in the Schwinn Serial number thread in the Sticky at the top of the page of the Schwinn section.

JFYI..... Even the Angelfire list has many flaws and some stem from copy errors and some were most likely from Schwinn's actual recording errors.
